Knit up this soft and sultry design in an afternoon and wear it that night. This skirt is very mini. You can, of course, make it longer to suit your taste, or make it shorter to suit your wild side. The drop stitches give it a nice effect and automatically make it wider at the bottom.This size is a small. Materials: yarn Berroco Plush - 2 balls Bubblegum Pink Cascade Fixation - 1 ball Pink Lemonade needles - U.S. 11 (8mm) Gauge 10 sts=4 inches With 2 dropped stitches: 15 sts=6.5" 12 rows=3" This piece is knitted from the bottom up. Front Piece Using a strand from each yarn, cast on 37 stitches. Row 1: Knit. Row 2: Knit. Row 3: Knit. Row 4: Purl.
Continue in Stockinette stitch until piece measures 4" from bottom. On WS, drop 12th sts (36 sts) (figure A). Carry on st st until 5". On WS, drop 25th st (35 sts). Stockinette until 6", on WS, drop 6th st (34 sts). Stockinette until 8" and drop 31st st (33 sts). When piece measures 11" from bottom, dec 1 stitch at each end (31 sts).
Carry on st st (figure B) with remaining 31 sts until piece measures 12" (or 13" if you wear it higher on the waist). RS row: Purl (to create purl ridge to foldover and insert elastic band). WS row: Purl RS Row: Knit WS Row: Purl RS Row: Knit WS Row: Cast off loosely. Cast off loosely. Back Same as front piece.
