Now that you have the basics down, here are instructions for the paper cozy.

    Toilet-Tissue Cozy

    Top:
For colorwork, cut 30" lengths of [CC1] (two strands), [CC2], [CC3], and [CC4] (two strands).
With waste yarn, crochet a chain for provisional CO.
With knitting needles, CO 5 sts with Tulip [MC] and 4 sts with Tomato [CC1].
Row 1: Knit all sts, changing from [CC1] to [MC] as you come to it, making sure the yarns are twisted (note: be sure yarns have been moved to back of work, between needles, before twisting).
Row 2: Knit to last stitch (k8), wrap next stitch and turn. Knit to end of row.
Row 3: K7, wrap next stitch and turn. Knit to end of row.
Rows 4-9: Continue in this manner, knitting one fewer stitch before wrapping the next, until row 10.
Row 10: K3, wrap next stitch and turn. Knit last stitch.
Row 11: k3, lift wrap around next stitch and knit together with wrapped stitch through the back loops. Repeat until the last wrapped stitch is knitted, end k1.
Repeat from row 1 five times. Work a color change for the "filling" with the [CC] yarns as follows:
In row 1, drop working [CC] strand, knit first stitch with new [CC] yarn. Cut previous [CC] strand, leaving enough to weave in after knitting is completed.
[CC] yarn changes are done in numerical sequence:
[CC1] (Tomato) changes to [CC2] (Poppy), which changes to [CC3] (Cumin), [CC4] (Pumpkin - two repeats) and then back to [CC1] (Tomato).
After the final repeat is completed, remove waste yarn from provisional CO, slipping live stitches to needle, and use 3-needle BO, changing colors as needed. Pull center stitches together.

    Sides:
Using dpn or 8"-12" circular needle, with right side facing you, pick up stitches along the edge using [CC5]. Purl one round.
Knit until sides are measure 4" (or1/2" shorter than sides of tissue roll). Work in k1, p1 rib until sides measure 4-1/2", or length of tissue roll sides. BO in pattern. Weave in all ends.
