    (Continued from page 1)

Now gather your yarns and get ready to start knitting your tank top. Mix and match the yarns to create the same weights for the project (for example, Maria matched two ribbon yarns to create the same weight as the softest bulky yarn). Create your own color palette with these unusual textures and colors.

    Tank top:

    1. Using the size 10 needles, loosely CO 60 (add or subtract stitches according to your own measurements) with A and work in k1p1 for 5 rows (counting the cast on row).

    2. Change to B and work in k1p1 for 8 rows.

    3. Change to one of the combined ribbon color schemes and work in k1p1 for 5 rows.

    4. Change to C and work in k1p1 for 3 rows.

    5. Change to the silk ribbon and work in k1p1 for 2 rows.

    6. Change to a different color of the silk ribbon and work in k1p1 for 1 row.

    7. Now you are repeating the pattern and will continue to reverse the above instructions and change yarns (rows will be 2, 3, 5, 8, 5,3,2,1) until the tank is the desired length.

    8. On the last row, decide where you would like straps and then slip 5 sts (for each strap) onto a stitch holder.

    9. Bind off the rest of the stitches loosely. Weave in any stray ends.

    10. For each strap, work in k1p1 for 15 rows. Decrease 2 stitches, then continue to work in k1p1 for 13 rows. Bind off, leaving at least 4" of yarn at the end.

    11. Brush a small amount of fabric glue on the ends of each strap. Let dry, then string on the 12mm bead, followed by the 10mm bead; then attach a charm by making a tight knot. Cut away excess yarn and weave the ends into the beads.

    12. Using the crochet tool, with D loosely crochet to the bottom of the tank to create a fun fringe.

    13. To finish the tank, just add the removable dangles.

Hint: Block the tank with water and gently pat into shape.
