    With size 11 needle and 1 strand each of wool and angora, cast on 2 sts.
    Row 1 and all WS rows unless otherwise noted: Purl.
    Row 2: (RS) Inc in each st. (4 sts).
    Row 4: k1, inc in each of next 2 sts, k1. (6 sts)
    Row 6: k1, inc in each of next 4 sts, k1. (10 sts)
    Row 8: k1, inc 1, k6, inc 1, k1. (12 sts)
    Row 10: k1, inc 1, k7, W&T, p6, W&T, k1, inc 1, [k2, inc 1] 2x, k1. (16 sts)

    Begin at back:
    Cast on 2 sts using 1 strand of each yarn held together.
    Row 1 and all WS rows unless otherwise noted: Purl.
    Rows 2, 4 & 6: (RS) Knit.
    Row 8: Inc in each stitch. (4 sts)
    Row 10: k1, inc in each of next 2 sts, k1. (6 sts)
    Row 12: k1, inc 1, k2, inc 1, k1. (8 sts)
    Row 14: k1, inc 1, knit to last 2 sts, inc 1, k1. (10 sts)
    Row 15: (WS) Purl.
    Cut yarn.

    Body

    Note: Before starting the body, the work is divided at the center of tummy to leave an opening for stuffing.

    With RS facing, slip the first 5 tummy sts from left to right needle. Join yarn at this point and work across remaining
    5 sts as follows: k1, [inc 1, k1] 2x, cast on 2 sts.
    With RS facing, pick up the needle holding the back sts and knit across these 26 sts, then cast on 2 sts and work across the last half of tummy as follows: k1, [inc 1, k1] 2x. (44 sts)
    *Beginning with a purl row, work 7 rows in stockinette stitch. End ready to begin a RS row.

    Divide for Front Legs

    Note: After casting off sts, the st remaining on the right needle counts as the first st of the next section.

    Next row: (RS) k7, cast off next 2 sts, k26, cast off 2, k7.
    Work each half of tummy separately, beginning where yarn is attached. Slip remaining sts onto a spare needle.

    1st half
    Rows 1, 3 & 5: Purl.
    Row 2: k1, k2tog, k4. (6 sts)
    Row 4: k1, k2tog, k3. (5 sts)
    Row 6: Knit. Cut yarn.

    2nd half
    Slip the 2nd half of tummy sts back onto the working needle. With WS facing join yarn at leg edge.
    Rows 1, 3 & 5: Purl.
    Row 2: k4, k2tog, k1. (6 sts)
    Row 4: k3, k2tog, k1. (5 sts)
    Row 6: Knit. Do not cut yarn.

    Joining Tummy Sections

    Next row: (WS) p4, slip last st to right needle. With WS facing, pick up the needle holding the other half of tummy sts. Slip the unworked st onto this needle and p2tog (1 st from each half), then purl the remaining 4 sts. (9 sts)

    Chest and Chin

    Continue on the 9 tummy stitches.
    Rows 1 & 3: Knit.
    Rows 2 & 4: Purl.
    Row 5: (RS) k4, inc 1, k4. (10 sts)
    Row 6: Purl.
    Mark each end of row 6 for front leg placement.
    Rows 7-16: Work 10 rows even in stockinette stitch.
    Row 17: [k2tog] 5x. (5 sts)
    Mark each end of row 17 with a pin.
    Rows 18-28: Beginning with a purl row, work 11 rows in stockinette stitch.
    Row 29: (RS) k2tog, k1, k2tog. (3 sts)
    Rows 30-32: Work 3 rows even in stockinette stitch.
    Row 33: Slip 1, k2tog, psso. Cut yarn and fasten off.
