    Elisabeth Marmugi 's next sweater is a shapely pullover with a rounded T-shirt neck and three-quarter-length sleeves. It's knit from a colorful mohair and given punch with a touch of novelty yarn.

    3 (3, 4, 4) 25g/ 7/8 oz balls Lana Gatto Mohair Royal, 80% kid mohair, 20% nylon; each approx 215m/235yds
    One 50g/1-3/4 oz balls Lana Gatto Amsterdam", 73% nylon, 27% acrylic; each approx 65m/72yds
    One pair U.S. size-8 (5mm) needles (or size required to achieve gauge)
    U.S. size-8 (5mm) crochet hook

    Finished Measurements

    Small: bust 81cm/32"; length at center back 51cm/20"; sleeve at underarm 33cm/13"
    Medium 91.5cm/36"; length at center back 52cm/20-1/2"; sleeve at underarm 32cm/14"
    Large 101.5cm/40"; length at center back 56cm/22"; sleeve at underarm 38cm/5"
    X-Large 111.5cm/44"; length at center back 60cm/23-1/2"; sleeve at underarm 40.5cm/16"

    Instructions are given for size small; any changes for larger sizes are written in parenthesis. If there is only one figure, it applies to all sizes.

    Next row, RS: k2, skpo, k until last 4 sts, k2tog, k2. cont in St st for next 3 rows. Repeat last 4 rows, 4 more times: 62 (72, 80, 90) sts. Cont. straight in St st until piece from beg. measures 25.5 (25.5, 28, 30.5)cm/ 10 (10, 11, 12)", ending with a WS row.
    Next row, RS: k2, M1, k until last 2 sts, M1, k2. Cont in St st for next 3 rows. Repeat last 4 rows, 4 more times: 72 (82, 90, 100) sts.
    Underarm Shaping: Next row, RS: cast off 4 (5, 5, 6) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Cast off 2 (3, 4, 5) sts at beg of next 2 rows.     Right Neck

    Cast off at beg of RS rows: 4 sts once; 3sts once; 2 sts once; and 1 st once. Cont in St st until piece from beg measures 51 (52, 56, 60) cm/ 20 (20(20-1/2, 22, 23-1/2)". Cast off.

    Left Neck

    Rejoin yarn. Cast off at beg of WS rows: 4 sts once; 3 sts once; 2 sts once; and 1 st, once. Cont in St st until piece from beg measures 51 (52, 56, 60) cm/20 (20-1/2, 22, 23-1/2)". Cast off.

    Sleeves

    Cast on 47 (51, 53, 57) sts. Work in St st for 33 (35, 38, 40.5) cm/13 (14, 15, 16)", ending with a WS row.

    Cap Shaping
    Cast off 4 (5, 5, 6) sts at beg of next 2 rows, cast off 2 (3, 4, 5) sts at beg of next 2 rows; then dec 1st at both ends of needle every 4 rows 0 (1, 2, 3) times and every alt row 13 (12, 11, 10) times. 9 sts rem. Cast off.

    Sew shoulder seams, set in sleeve caps and sew sleeve seams, leaving open bottom 15cm/6". Sew side seams. Work 1 row of single crochet around neck edge.

    Tassels

    Cut Amsterdam into 13cm/5" strands. Using crochet hook, attach to garment in patches of 5 to 7 strands, randomly spread (figure A).

    Fashion Show

    Elisabeth Marmugi introduces three final designs created from Needful Yarns: a sweater knit of randomly textured yarn (figure B); a shell that combines two contrasting textures in the same color (figure C); and a stunning crocheted wedding dress (figure D).
