    Figure A
Using a strand of Classic Elite's Interlude (A) and a strand of Playful Weekend (B), cast on 1 stitch, leaving an 8" tail that will be used to attach fringe later (figure A).

Note: Throughout this project you'll knit and purl with A and weave with B. Weave B instead of knitting with it, bringing it forward and in front of all knit stitches and passing it behind all purl stitches. Make sure to stretch out the knitted work at the completion of each row to keep the ribbon from tightening the fabric and becoming twisted.

    Row 1: With A, k1inc1 (2 sts)
Row 2: With A, k1inc1. Bring B over from back to front, and with A, k1--3 sts
    Row 3: With A, k1inc1, p1,and passing B from back to front, k1--4 sts
Row 4: With A, k1inc1, and passing B from back to front, k1, and passing B from front to back, p1, and passing B from back to front, k1.--5 sts
Row 5: With A, k1inc1. *Bring B to front, and with A, k1. Passing B over st just knitted, bring B to back and with A, p1. Bring B over from back to front, and with A, k1, bringing B to back before last p1; rep to end--6 sts

Row 7: With A, k1inc1, p1. *Carry B across front, and with A, k1. Passing B over st just knitted, bring B to back and with A, p1; rep to end, ending with bring B to front and with A, k1--8 sts

Sash Body (created by using rib stitch with A and weaving B over all knit stitches and behind all purl stitches)

Row 1: With A, p1. *Bring B to front, and with A, k1. Passing B over st just knitted, bring B to back and with A, p1; repeat from * to end.
Repeat row 1, knitting and purling with A and wrapping B in front of all knit stitches and behind all purl stitches, with the exception of the first stitch in each row. Continue until sash measures 42".

V-Shape Top Border (created by decreasing 1 stitch each row until there is 1 stitch left)

Row 1: With A, k2tog, p1. *Bring B to front and with A, k1. Passing B over st just knitted, bring B to back and with A, p1; rep from * to last st, bring B to front and with A, k1--7 sts
Row 2: With A, k2tog, p1. *Bring B to front and with A, k1. Passing B over st just knitted, bring B to back and with A, p1; rep from * to end--6 sts
Row 3: With A, k2tog. *Bring B to front and with A, k1. Passing B over st just knitted, bring B to back and with A, p1; rep from * to last st, bring B to front and with A, k1--5 sts.
Repeat rows 2-3 until 2 sts remain:
    Last Row: With A and B, k2tog.
    Cut strands, leaving 8" tails.

Attaching Fringe to Each End (created by cutting 8" lengths of each yarn type and attaching them with crochet hook to the stitch at the bottom and top border with a slipknot)

Cut 10 16" strands of A and 10 16" strands of B. Each fringe will use 5 strands of A and 5 strands of B. Insert crochet hook into the bottom stitch of one side of the sash, fold 5 strands of A and 5 strands of B in half, and catch all the strands in the center with the crochet hook. Draw the loop of strands through, making it large enough so you can pull the ends of the yarn through the loop. Pass the crochet hook through the loop, catching all 10 strands and the 2 strands left over from the knitted work, and passing them through. Tighten them snugly. Trim ends to make them even.
    Repeat on other side.
