    Materials:

    3 balls Crystal Palace Mikado Ribbon, color #1799
    6" double-pointed bamboo needles, U.S. size 5 (3.5mm)
    6" double-pointed bamboo needles, U.S. size 7 (4.5mm)
    cable needle
    yarn needle

    Note: Remember that many yarns are seasonal and could be discontinued. If the specific yarn called for is not available, purchase a substitution yarn that comes closest to the specified gauge in your pattern. And be sure to make that all-important swatch to see whether the yarn works for your particular pattern.

    Left Glove

    CO 56 sts on size 5 needles. Work k2 p2 rib for 2". Change to size 7 needles.
    Change to Stst and work one round as follows to place markers: k14, place marker, p3, k8, p3, place marker, k to end of round. Then continue as follows:
    Rnd 1: k to 2 sts before 1st marker, sl 1 knitwise, k1, psso, p3, sl 2 and hold in back with cable needle (figure A), k2, k the 2 slipped sts, sl next 2 st and hold in front with cable needle (figure B), k2, k the 2 slipped sts, p3. k2 tog, k to end of rnd.
    Rnd 2-12: k to 1st marker, p3, k8, p3, k to end of rnd.
    Repeat these 12 rows 6 more times, until 42sts remain.
    Then, work the following 12 rnds once:
    Rnd 1: k to 1 st before 1st marker, k1, m1, p3, sl 2 and hold in back with cable needle, k2, k the 2 slipped sts, sl next 2 st and hold in front with cable needle, k2, k the 2 slipped sts, p3, k1, m1, k to end of rnd. Rnd 2-12: k to 1st marker, p3, k8, p3, k to end of rnd (44 sts).
