    Finished Measurements: 8" x 48"

    Materials
    Softy by Berroco (3 [1-3/4oz/50g/90yd] balls #2939)
    Needles: U.S. size 13 (or size to obtain gauge)
    Large-eye yarn needle for weaving in ends
    Stitch holder

    Gauge: 9 sts and 12 rows = 4"(10cm) in pattern st.
    Note: Be sure to take time to check gauge.

    Pattern (Garter) Stitch
    Row 1: Knit.
    Repeat row 1 for pattern.

    Scarf
    With size 13 needles cast on 22 sts and begin pattern stitch. Work even until piece measures 24".
    Work across 7 sts and bind off the next 8 sts, work the remaining sts.
    Turn work and keeping in pattern st work across the 7 sts, cast on 8 sts and then knit the remaining sts.
    Continue until piece measures 42". Cast off.

    Finishing
    Weave in all ends.
