The office now has a cozy glow emanating from the walls, but because it is a home office, it does need a few practical features. First, a set of shelves will be covered with faux pony-hide material; next, a variety of accessories, all reflecting the Southwestern theme, will be added to help bring the room to life.

ShelvesProject time: 3 hours. Materials Plywood Staple gun Upholstery tacks Pony hide Steps 1. A slatted iron shelf unit is fitted with plywood shelves covered in faux pony hide (figure A). 2. Lay the plywood shelves on the hide and measure, cutting 2' extra for each shelf. 3. Corners are cut at 90 degrees and the hide is stapled to the plywood base (figure B).
Accessories- A small table is placed adjacent to the desk for extra workspace (figure C).
- An antler finial is added to the ceiling-fan light (figure D).
Roman shades and a Las Vegas sign hang over the couch (figure E).A cluster of signs, prints and illustrations hang on the wall (figure F). Each one has the word golden somewhere on its surface.
