    Supplies:

    olive or vegetable oil
    paper towel or spray bottle
    measuring cups
    grater
    kitchen shears

    Measuring Sticky Ingredients

    • Using a paper towel or spray can, apply a light coat of oil to the inside of your measuring cups or spoons first.

    • You can use vegetable oil, cooking spray or olive oil.

    • The oil will make it easier to get peanut butter out, and it saves time on cleanup.

    Grating Cheese

    • The same trick applies to cheese graters. The oil helps keep the holes clear, so you can work a lot quicker.

    Kitchen Shears

    • When cutting up things such as dried fruits, the oil keeps the shears from gumming up.

Don't forget that when it comes to avoiding sticky situations in the kitchen, a little oil goes a long way!
