    Hanging Gourd Mirror

    1. Cut a circle in the side of the dipper gourd with your hand jigsaw, sand and clean out the gourd seeds.

    2. Cut a gourd piece in a circle so that it will fit inside the dipper gourd piece, inverted.

    3. Scallop the outside sides like a flower. You will fit your mirror inside the cut gourd piece. Sand the piece smooth.

    4. Glue the piece inside the hole of the dipper gourd.

    5. Fill in the seams with Elmer's Wood Filler. Wet your fingers with water and get this as smooth as you can. Let this dry and then and smooth it if you need to.

    6. Paint a white base coat to the piece.

    7. Paint the design on the mirror.

    8. Brush on the sealer.

    9. Glue the mirror in the hole with super glue.
