Host Stephanie Lydecker says properly folding and storing your clothes will not only extend their shelf life, but will also organize your closet beautifully. And a cutting board from your kitchen can be a great help.
How to Fold a Shirt Properly

    • Lay the shirt facedown.

    • Carefully fold each sleeve over vertically, to the middle of the shirt, without pulling in the sides of the shirt.

    • Fold both sleeves in again, to meet in the middle. There should be a V underneath the collar.

    • Fold up once or twice, depending on the length of the shirt and the depth of your storage space.

    • Put in closet or drawer.

Tip: A thin plastic cutting mat, cutting board or piece of cardboard can make this process even easier!
