    Stain Removal

    • Canvas is a very heavy, firm, tightly woven fabric, but there are many ways to remove ink. First, you should always try rubbing alcohol. Put a good amount of rubbing alcohol onto a sponge and then blot the canvas until the stain is removed. Or, you can use a Q-tip and blot the stain until it is removed. Never rub the stain, this could cause the stain to spread. Also, you could just dig the fabric into a glass of rubbing alcohol and let it sit until the stain comes out.

    • Another trick for removing ink is simple—just use white, non-gel toothpaste. Put the toothpaste onto a toothbrush and scrub the ink. Then launder as usually, which with canvas it is machine wash in cold water and tumble dry on a low setting.

Royal tip: Often, just soaking ink stains in milk will dissolve them.

    • To remove crayon from a painted wall, spray with WD-40 lubricant and wipe crayon away with a paper towel. Once you wipe it with a paper towel, take the cloth that is damp with hot water and a bit of dishwashing liquid, and wash in a circular motion.

    • To remove crayon from wallpaper, rub the crayon mark lightly with a dry soap filled steel wool pad. Do this very gently. If this doesn't work, you can also try baking soda on a damp cloth and watch it disappear. Then, just rinse with a wet paper towel.
