Using Cosmetic Sponges for Household Projects

    • They apply paint quickly, easily and evenly. They are great for nooks and crannies and tough to reach corners. They are easy to use, inexpensive and you can toss them or rinse them out.

    • The sponges are also great for staining. They apply stain in a quick even coat.

    • You can use the sponges for stamping. Just use a small cookie cutter in a simple shape (heart or star), trace with a pen, and cut out your design. Dip in acrylic craft paint. It adds a quick decorative stamping touch (figure A).
