    Organizing Recipes

    • For recipes that you clip out of the newspaper, attach them to a card with glue. If the recipe doesn't fit the card, just fold it up and paper clip it on both sides (figure A), and then it will fit neatly into your recipe box.

    • To organize the cards in the box, use the alphabetized cards and flip them over and write categories such as breads, soups, etc. on each card (figure B). This makes it much easier to find what you are looking for.

    • A great way to organize your recipes is to put your recipe cards into a photo album to create a recipe organizer. Look for albums that have 4" x 6" pockets (figure C). Just fold up those recipes you tear out of magazines and slide them into the pockets.

    • The computer is the best way to organize, copy, paste, cut and set up your recipes any way you want.

    • For a great gift, print out recipes and slide them into a protective sleeve to give to friends or family.

    • If your mother or grandmother has written down a special recipe for you, laminate the card they gave it to you on. After all, you are hoping that the recipes you collect today will be passed down to your family tomorrow.
