Q: How do you remove paint from clothing?

A: Saturate the stain with heated white vinegar and let it soak before laundering, or buy a paint-removal product called Oops, available at hardware and home stores. To protect clothing from future painting projects, cut holes for head and arms in a large trash bag and wear while painting.

Q: What's the best way to clean a solid-surface cooktop?

A: Keep a task-specific microfiber cloth handy just to clean the stove. Dampen the cloth and wipe down the cooktop after every use. Always let the surface cool before cleaning, and for stubborn food spills, clean with either baking soda or Lava soap.

Q: Can rust stains left by metal furniture be removed from carpet?

A: Try using a commercial rust-removing product; follow directions carefully.

Q: How do you keep the keys on the computer keyboard clean?

A: Clean weekly with alcohol wipes or a cotton-tipped swab dipped in alcohol.
