  • Baby Wipes as Cleaners
  • Baby Wipes as Cleaners
From "Talking Dirty With the Queen of Clean"
    episode DQOC-128

A staple in most nurseries is a box of baby wipes. Mothers don't want to be without them, but did you know that baby wipes are perfect for cleaning other items around the house? What's more, they're also handy to keep in the car for trips and car clean-ups.

Tip: If the container of wipes become too dry, mix together 1/2 cup water and 1 tablespoon baby oil and pour into the container. Making sure the container is sealed, turn it over several times, letting it sit for several minutes with each turn, to distribute the liquid through the wipes.

Tip: Fill a spray bottle with 2 cups water, a squirt of dish soap and a tablespoon of lemon juice. After the baby eats, spray the solution on the chair and tray to clean up food and drink spills. Microfiber cloths are also good to use around babies since they clean with just water; you should stay away from strong cleaners that contain chemicals. A baby's skin is delicate and can absorb chemicals, so it's best to only use safe, natural cleaners in your environment.
