Q: How can you remove yellow stains in a microwave made by popping popcorn (figure A)?

A: This can be an impossible stain to remove, but you can try applying a paste of lemon juice and cream of tartar to the stained areas of a cool microwave. Let the mixture sit on the stains before checking to see if it is working.

Q: What can you use to remove water marks on a window, made by a sprinkler (figure B)?

A: Mix 1 pint rubbing alcohol, 2 tablespoons ammonia and 2 tablespoons liquid dish soap. Apply with a scrubbing sponge and rinse. You can also try removing the stain with Lava bar soap and a soft, damp cloth.
