    • Children (and pets) are naturally curious and can get into everything, so don't keep household chemicals or cleaning supplies within their reach (figure A). But if you must store cleaning supplies under a sink, install childproof devices on cabinet doors (figure B).


    • Muriatic acid and trisodium phosphate (TSP) are acid cleaners often used around the house for cleaning concrete and brick, washing walls, etc. (figure C). Be very careful when using these chemicals. Wear goggles and gloves, and always have plenty of water available to rinse with if needed. And always work in a well-ventilated area.
