    Most children have at least one stuffed animal tucked in with them at night, and after a while you can see love written all over their little bodies. To freshen up and deodorize these little friends safely, here are a couple of suggestions:

    • Lay them on a towel and sprinkle with baking soda (figure A). Roll them up in the towel and leave all day or overnight. Or place them in a plastic bag and add cornstarch. Shake the bag to distribute the cornstarch and leave in place for several hours.

    • Take them outside and brush them off. This is a safe, natural way to clean and deodorize your child's best buddy.
