    A kitchen filled with warmth.

Host Gilda Riccardi and homeowner Debbie tackle a hospital-white kitchen and give it the warm glow of the Southwest. Debbie has chosen three colors of paint -- chocolate brown and two shades of yellow -- which will be combined directly to the walls in a Fresco Blend. She also has a new cabinet that needs some zing, so later they will be antiquing it a smoky green.

Before painting a room, you should always prepare the area to be painted by taping any electrical outlets, molding, ceilings, etc. Also spackle any dents or nail holes in the walls.

Note: This room has a wallpaper border that is proving impossible to remove. Taking Gilda's advice, Debbie sands it down a little and primes it in preparation for painting over it.
