    Figure A
    1. Use florist sticky clay to stick the topiary base into the urn (figure A).

    2. Break the curly willow branches to the same length as the stick in the topiary.

    3. Apply hot glue to the bottom tip of the branch, and then insert into the topiary base--close to the topiary stick.

    4. Carefully wrap the willow branches around the stick. Continue to add the willow around the stick to create the look of a woven topiary branch. Secure all of the willow branches at the top of the stick by binding with vine-like wire.

    5. Use the craft knife to cut the lemons in half widthwise so there's a point of the lemon on each piece.

    6. Use hot glue to attach the lemon halves all the way around the circumference of the topiary ball.

    7. Remove the flower heads from the stems. Use hot glue to attach the flowers in a band around the topiary just above and just below the lemons, alternating colors of flowers. Be sure to glue the flowers as close to the lemons as needed to hide the topiary ball. If the flowers have a weak base, create a "pilot hole" by first inserting and removing the wire stem that the flowers come on into the ball.

    8. Remove the leaves from the stems. Hot glue the leaves to fill in the remainder of the topiary ball at the top and the bottom of the ball.

    9. Cover the base of the topiary with sheet moss, securing with greening pins.

    10. Hot glue a couple of flowers to the base of the topiary branch on the sheet moss.

    11. Just before the party, place a few fresh lemons/wedges on the sheet moss and at the base of the urn on the table.
