Decorate your "Family Challenge" party with colorful egg shells filled with confetti.

Materials:

uncooked eggs
straight pins
small scissors
small bowl
large bowl
food coloring
vinegar
hot water
slotted spoons
paper confetti
tape
stickers
markers

1. Poke a hole into one end of an egg using a straight pin.

2. Use scissors to gently cut the hole until it's large enough for the egg to pour out of the shell and into a small bowl.

3. In a large bow, combine hot water and vinegar (about 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar per half cup of water), and then add drops of food coloring to get the desired color.

4. Dip egg shells in colored water, and then allow it to set until the shells are the desired color.

5. Remove the shells using a slotted spoon, and then set back into the egg carton to dry.

6. Fill the colored egg shells with paper confetti until full.

7. Place tape in an "x" over the hole.

8. Decorate the outside of the shell with stickers and markers as desired.
