Key-Hole Scarf

Materials --

2 balls of Crystal Palace Iceland (100% Merino Wool; 110 yards/100gr)
1 ball Crystal Palace Fizz (100% Polyester Eyelash, 120 yds/50gr)
US Size 11 needles
US Size 1 crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Stitch holder

Gauge --

4 sts per inch in 1 x 1 rib

Finished Measurements --

46" x 6"

Abbreviation Key --

CO = cast on
BO = bind off
Sts = stitches
K = knit
P = purl

1. Using US size 11 needles and Iceland, CO 24 sts. Work in 1 x 1 rib (k1, p1, 1st row, pl, k1 on 2nd row). Repeat this for 33".

2. Next row: continuing the rib pattern, work 12 sts and place last 12 sts on stitch holder. Work 12 sts on needle for 3", place those sts on holder. Place reserved sts on needle and work them for 3".

3. Next row: continuing in pattern, work across entire row, including sts on holder. Work all 24 sts for 10" more. BO

4. Next row: Continuing in pattern, work across entire row, including sts on holder. Work all 24 sts for 10" more. BO.

5. Finishing. Weave in ends. Using size 1 crochet hook and double strand of Fizz, single crochet a border around the entire edge of the scarf.

   Optional Touch: Using a tapestry needle and 4 strands of Fizz, weave yarn horizontally through knit stitches, about 4" up from the bottom edge of each end of the scarf. Snip Frizz and let ends hang loosely.

   Voila! You're done. Now you're ready for a weekend away in even the windiest of cities.
