    Materials --

    Live herb in 3" pot (for each guest)
    Natural burlap cut into a 10" square
    18" piece of wired grapevine
    Sheet cork
    Scissors
    Permanent marker
    Knife
    Photo

    Invitations

    1. Place the potted herb in the middle of the burlap square. Wrap the burlap over the pot and secure by twisting a piece of wired grapevine snuggly around the pot (figure A).

    2. Cut from the sheet cork an oval leaf shape approximately 6" - 7" long. Write the invitation information on one side of the leaf (figure B). On the back of the leaf write the name and care instructions for the potted herb, as well as suggestions for ways to use the herb in cooking.

    3. Use the knife to cut a slit in the soil of the herb. Push one end of the cork leaf into the slit to stand up behind the herb.

    Note: These invitations should be hand delivered.
