    Double-sided tape
    Various widths of satin ribbon in red, turquoise, purple and yellow

    Woven Ribbon Table Runner

    1. Measure the surface where you'll be serving your food to find the lengths you'll need to cut the ribbons. Measure the surface lengthwise and then add 20 or more inches on each side for the ribbon runner to drape over each end.

    2. Repeat this step for width-wide measurement.

    3. Place the length-wide ribbons on the serving surface and secure them with tape (figure A). This will help when it comes to do the weaving.

      Expert Tip: When you want to create a shape or flowing effect with your ribbon, wire edge ribbon will really work best.

    4. Add the shorter ribbons by weaving them through in an under/over fashion (figure B).
