    An old mailbox finds a new purpose as a hanging birdhouse.
    Materials:

    Decorative rooster, globe or mailbox
    Wooden dowel rod
    Glue
    Eyelet
    Rope
    Hole saw
    Drill and bit

    1. Using the hole saw, drill a hole two inches in diameter into the object for the bird door (figure A).

    2. Drill a small hole for a wooden dowel rod bird perch.

    3. Glue the wooden dowel rod into the hole for the bird perch.

    4. Drill a small hole at the top of the house to insert the eyelet bolt.

    5. Thread rope through the eyelet, and then hang the birdhouse (figure B).
