    Designer Samantha Gleisten creates an architecturally interesting storage unit out of an old wooden dollhouse and bookcase for homeowner Gabe Serafini.

    Samantha made the storage units even more interesting by using decoupage and Gabe's blueprints.
    Materials:

    Paint
    Blueprints
    Acrylic matte medium (decoupage medium)
    Polyurethane
    Pry bar
    Screw gun
    Razor
    Paint brush

    1. Clean all objects.

    2. Lightly sand, and then paint the doll house a desired color.

    3. Pry off the bottom of the bookshelf.

    4. Take out the glass from the display case.

    5. Paint the backs of all shelves and let them dry completely.

    6. Using topographical maps, wrap the shelves (figure A). Mark and cut to length.

    7. Spray adhesive to the shelves and let dry.

    8. Apply shellac to the entire unit and let dry completely.

    9. Apply a coat of polyurethane.
