    1. Clean the suitcases. Use assorted cleaners to polish the exterior as needed.

    2. Separate the tops from the bottoms of the suitcases (figure A). Each suitcase is hinged together differently. Some may call for a simple bolt removal while others may require cutting.

    3. Remove the internal lining as needed.

    4. Recover the inside of the suitcase with vibrant, bold fabric using spray adhesive and hot glue. Carefully fold and manipulate the corners to create clean lines (figure B).

    5. Install the internal hanger hardware or hooks in some cases, by simply screwing small hooks where you would like to hang a purse.

    Installation:

    1. Pre-drill into the suitcase at each corner.

    2. Hold the suitcase up to the wall and determine placement.

    3. Mark your holes though the pre-drilled holes.

    4. Pre-drill your holes into the wall.

    5. Insert anchors into the wall.

    6. Screw the suitcase directly to the wall.

    Project Expense:

    Suitcases: Free
    Purses: Free
    Materials: $12

    Total: $12
