When shopping for Saris, bring paint chips or an inspiration page for the room they'll be hanging inthis will help in choosing the right colors.
Note the lengths and widths of the rectangular wraps and how they will correlate with the size of your windows. You may need to sew on smaller scarves to fill out some of the shorter Sari wraps.
- Lay the Sari's you have chosen next to each other (figure A) on a clean workspace and experiment with the different textures, colors and tonal values. Fill in the gaps with scarves if necessary using a French seam or a zig-zag stitch.
- Sew a fun beaded trim to the tops and/or bottoms of the Sari's as a finishing touch and a way to tie the look together.
- Hang the Sari's up with clip hooks or curtain rings onto aircraft cable.
- Adorn the Sari's with jewelry or beads to add more personality to the curtains (figure B).
