    1. Sand wooden edges and paint.

    2. Remove the existing legs. Be sure to save the cross pieces with the number tabs to be used later in the project (figure A).

    3. Level the work table.

    4. Carefully "hover" the pool table over the work table with 2 x 4's and clamps, and then level.

    5. Custom mark and cut each leg.

    6. Assemble and attach the legs and attach to the frame with bolts. Then assemble the number tab cross piece, glue and polyurethane.

    7. Place the pool ball at center (figure B) and custom mark and cut stretchers (round joints) and attach with dowels.

    8. Drill holes in the pool ball and then attach the stretchers to the pool ball with glue and polyurethane.

    9. Cut the pool balls in half (figure C) for stand-offs for the glass top, then place on the table.

    10. Finally, place the glass on top (figure D).

    Project Expense:

    Pool table: Free
    Cues and balls: $60
    Glass: $100
    Materials: $20

    Total: $180
