DIY Decorating & Design host Nancy Golden show some simple but attractive storage ideas constructed of plastic lattice panels.

    Materials:

    Plastic lattice panel
    Saw
    2x2
    U-shaped brackets
    S-hooks, cup hooks, etc.

    1. Cut the panel to size according to the area in which you will be using it.

    2. Finish the edges of the lattice by slipping u-shaped brackets onto them.

    3. In order to provide clearance for the s-hooks, the lattice must be mounted so that it isn't flat against the wall. Do this by mounting it on lengths of 2-by-2, which are then attached to the wall.

Use s-hooks to hang garden tools; to hang pictures, insert small cup hooks to the backs of the frames and use the hooks upside down to attach the pictures to the lattice openings. You can also store gardening gloves in the openings if you use larger lattice (figure A).

Use smaller lattice and brackets to make a shelf for storing scissors and other small tools; store ribbon in small birdhouses atop the shelf (figure B).

A cube or box topped with a lattice square works great for storing rolls of giftwrap (figure C).
