Materials: Candlestick lamp for glass votive or bulb Metal lampshade (to fit over glass votive or bulb) Seed beads (6/0: approximately 1,400) 16 glass drops (10mm x 6mm: peridot) 26-gauge wire (tinned copper) Jump rings Wire cutters - Cut the wire with wire cutters into one 72" length. Beginning at a "spoke" in the lampshade, twist one wire end around the bottom edge of the lampshade until it's secure. Wrap the wire around the bottom edge while forming a small loop that extends down from the bottom edge, spacing the loops about 1" apart. Continue around the bottom edge of the lampshade. Secure the wire and trim with wire cutters.
- Cut the wire with cutters into one 90" length. Beginning at a spoke in the lampshade, twist one wire end around the top edge of the lampshade until it's secure.
- Slide glass seed beads (figure A) onto the wire until the beads will cover the space from the first spoke to the next. Extend the beaded wire to the second spoke and snugly wrap the wire around the spoke so the beads cover the top edge of the lampshade (figure B).
- Continue to slide seed beads onto the wire, extending the beaded wire to the next adjacent spoke and securing the wire in place each time. Cover the entire lampshade with beaded wire, making certain the beaded rows fit snugly against one another. Attach additional lengths of wire as needed.
- Attach the glass drops to the loops along the bottom edge of the lampshade with jump rings.
