Quirky Casual Living Room: Wicker Seat Cushions An Art Deco design painted on the cushions with stippling and foam brushes brings out the purple in the sofa. From "Fresh Coat" episode DFCT-313

Giving the room its final rich detail, the Fresh Coat painters stencil an Art Deco design on the family’s wicker chair cushions. They use stippling and foam brushes to apply a rich purple color which will bring out the purples in the sofa.

Materials:

stencils
stippling brushes (pick up at an art store)
foam brushes
1456 (matte)

1. Roughly lay out the stencil pattern (figure A).
2. Using 1456 Mountain Ridge and stippling or foam brushes, fill in stencils (figure B). Foam brushes provide wider coverage for certain fabrics.

Note: Wash the cushions separately in cold water to be sure the colors don’t run.
