  • La Cucina Traditionale: Cabinets
  • Dated kitchen cabinets get new life with cream and charcoal paint.
    From "Fresh Coat"
    episode DFCT-311

    PHOTO

    Figure A
Carla Wytmar's dated kitchen cabinets get a new lease on life when the Fresh Coat team adds saturated color with coats of cream on the top and charcoal on the bottom in a pearl finish (figure A).

Fine-napped rollers provide an extremely smooth finish and the slight pearl sheen gives the cabinets the washable durability of a gloss with the patina of timeworn built-ins. This classic combination will stand fresh and clean against the warm yellow walls and add depth with contrasting colors.
