  • Plum Play Room: The Walls
  • This earth-toned paint job brings cold white walls to life
    From "Fresh Coat"
    episode DFCT-310

    PHOTO

    Figure A
The walls in the Weinerths' cold, impersonal downstairs family room have two kinds of texture, paneling and cement. The Fresh Coat team unifies the whole room by painting the stark white walls a soft and smoky plum-toned shade (figure A).

Tip: Using earthy, complex colors is a great way to hide flaws and variations in wall texture.
