  • Fiesta Family Room: Dresser
  • A dresser gets stripped to its natural pine color, then stamped with small suns.
    From "Fresh Coat"
    episode DFCT-305

    PHOTO

    Figure A
The Fresh Coat team uses furniture paint stripper to remove most of the paint on this overly coated piece, revealing a more natural pine color while preserving some of its history with remnants of paint here and there.

For more visual interest and a modern feel, they stamp small suns behind the drawer pulls and then protect the surface while maintaining a naturally worn feel with flat varnish (figure A).
