The Fresh Coat team uses furniture paint stripper to remove most of the paint on this overly coated piece, revealing a more natural pine color while preserving some of its history with remnants of paint here and there. For more visual interest and a modern feel, they stamp small suns behind the drawer pulls and then protect the surface while maintaining a naturally worn feel with flat varnish (figure A).
