By A traditional decorative finish called frottage employs newspaper and gives the wall unit an older feel
On Day 2 of the guest cottage paint job, the team tapes off the glass front cabinets and then coats the entire unit in a warm caramel color. A very traditional decorative finish called frottage gives the unit an older, more masculine feel. First, they crumple sheets of newspaper and brush them with a deep forest green glaze. Then they rub the newspaper on the surface, pushing the glaze onto the unit and pull back to reveal an irregular mottled texture. The look is finished by painting the hardware in a gold metallic with a gentle stippling of black metal paint. Cool tool, newspaper
