  • Cozy Guest Cottage: The Walls
  • A vintage feel begins with soft golden brown and a ticking vintage fabric look
    From "Fresh Coat"
    episode DFCT-303

    PHOTO

    Golden Brown Walls
The Fresh Coat painters begin Matt and Karen Berg's guest cottage paint job with a thick coat of soft golden brown over the white walls. The approach will add warmth and work well as a rich backdrop for a focal point pattern.

Then they add thin, horizontal stripes in navy blue to the wall, painting with artist brushes. The ticking vintage fabric look will help tie in many of the mismatched furnishings as well as add a quaint, cottage feel.
