You'd love to transfer an image from a favorite greeting card or work of art to a wall, but how can you without drawing freehand? The old-fashioned way is to use a grid and copy the image square by square. An easier option is to use an art projector, which enlarges and lights up the image on the wall for easy tracing.

Using the grid method of enlarging an image simply involves drawing a small-scale grid on the image to be transferred and a large grid on the wall. Copying an image square by square is easier and more accurate than trying to transfer an image freehand.

An easy alternative is to use an art projector. Just put the image in the projector, and an enlarged image is lit up on the wall, ready for tracing. Art projectors, available in a wide range of prices, are especially helpful for transferring intricately detailed work.
