    This farm style dresser (figure A) is screaming for an upgrade and it receives one from the Fresh Coat team. They give the piece a classic French country flair with a rustic gray coat and traditional red marble top.

    First, the painters sponge a brick-red on the top and create marbled veins with thin brushes in gray and white. A topcoat of umber-tinted varnish gives it the presence of a piece pulled from a French palace.

    HC-164 Puritan Gray by Benjamin Moore
    1203 Warm Sienna by Benjamin Moore
    2133-10 Onyx by Benjamin Moore
    kitchen sponges
    smallest artist brushes
    Benjamin Moore's Dead Flat varnish
    Benjamin Moore's Burnt Umber tint

    1. Sand, brush, wipe and remove knobs (figure B).
    2. Brush and roll on tinted primer in Benjamin Moore's HC-164 Puritan Gray (figure C). Let dry.
    3. Sponge 90 percent of the top surface with Warm Sienna and a touch of glaze (figure D).
    4. Paint in veins with small artist brushes using Puritan Gray,white primer and a touch of Onyx (figure E).
    5. After details have dried, brush entire piece with varnish tinted with burnt umber (figure F).
