To get an older modeled look, the Fresh Coat team spray paints a couple of finials silver (figure A) and presses crumpled newspaper on the wet paint. Then, to keep a modern edge, they paint some bright colors on top..

Reveal: Mom, Sarah and daughter, Nina will check out the guys' handiwork and see the new family room for the first time.

1. Spray paint the finials silver (figure B).
2. Press newspaper into the wet paint (figure C).
3. Paint the tops bright colors (figure D).
