    Value: the relative darkness or lightness of a color

    Tint: to lessen a color's saturation by adding white

    Shade: to darken a color by adding black

    Tone: to soften a color by adding gray

    Warm colors: those having yellow undertones

    Cool colors: those having blue undertones.
