The process of installing a new vanity may seem daunting at first, but if you break it down into steps, suddenly it makes perfect sense! As with any home-improvement project, you need to take your time and be sure you understand each step before proceeding. Materials: Trowel Pliers Wrench Jigsaw Hole saw Sponge or cotton rag Pencil Drill Caulk Safety glasses or goggles Stainless vessel sinks Chrome faucets Chrome sink fixtures Sink or drain kit Lighting fixtures Lighting kits - Bring in the vanity table and secure it in place on the floor and wall.
- Decide on placement of the vessel sinks and faucets.
- Using a template (figure A), mark the vanity table for drain and screw holes.
- Make a mark for the placement of the faucet and the faucet handles (figure B).
Expert tip: Keep in mind that although the faucet handles can be placed in any position on the vanity table, the height of the faucet is important. - Make cuts for all openings using a jigsaw (figure C) and a hole saw (figure D).
- Predrill for the screw holes (figure E).
- Check the openings for a correct fit (figure F) and apply caulk (figure G) to hole openings if fit is correct.
- Attach the mounting ring (figure H).
- Position the vessel sink in place.
Tip: Be sure to hand-tighten the wing nuts (figure I). - Clean the sink with warm water (figure J) and remove any excess caulk.
