Golden uses accessories to bring the British colonial style to life in this sunroom:
- Prints on the walls (figure A)
- Decorative pillows on the furniture (figure B)
- A travel globe as the corner focal point (figure C).
In keeping with the British colonial theme, tropical plants have also been added to the "dead space" of the room such as corners. Floor rugs continue the light elements of the window treatments. When choosing a rug, keep in mind that natural materials such as sisel and wool are great for high-traffic areas.
Golden also adds an armoire to the corner of the room (figure D). This armoire is a dark, rich wood tone, crucial to the British colonial style, and armoires are great places for a wet bar, an entertainment center or a storage area.
