Rugged Lark drops by his office occasionally to check on business.

Rugged Lark is a quarter horse -- in fact, he's what every young quarter horse wants to be when it grows up. Born in 1981, Lark was only a youngster when he began to display qualities that made him stand out from the herd: he was extremely intelligent, easy to work with and anxious to please.

Lark has gone on to win almost every award given to quarter horses, including -- twice -- the prestigious Super Horse award (considered the triathlon of horse events). In fact, not only was he the first to win the Super Horse twice, he also became the first to sire a Super Horse and the first to be bred to another Super Horse, a mare named One for the Record. Now the stallion rarely competes but instead is carrying on his remarkable bloodline by siring a new generation of horses -- and his owner says each foal crop is better than the previous one.

Oh, and just in case you want to want to book him for a speaking engagement, he has his own agent. Not too shabby for a fellow who was raised in a barn!
