    Saltwater tanks bring the wonder of the ocean right into your home. They are a great educational tool because they allow kids to watch aquatic animals grow and react to one another. Even though they can't hold the fish, children nevertheless enjoy aquariums.

    • A pet shop that specializes in saltwater animals is the best place to get started.

    • Get the biggest tank you can afford in order to allow the animals more room to move.

    Notes: Saltwater aquariums are very time-consuming and expensive to maintain.
