Two of the luckiest dogs you'll ever want to meet are Rocky and Bomber (figure A). Former canine delinquents, these chocolate Labs now live with a couple who have helped them overcome their misspent youth. Bomber is so named because he flunked out of bomb-sniffing school. Dropped off at the Humane Society by a policeman, he was adopted by the young woman -- and immediately proceeded to show her what he'd learned. In rapid succession he destroyed two remote controls, a mobile phone, and the headphones from the bottom of her gym bag! Shortly after Bomber's new mom get married, Rocky joined the family. He was in the doghouse for eating his owner's furniture, luckily the owner knew who might be willing to take on another bad boy. So Rocky found a loving home with the newlyweds and Bomber. Now the happy family spends as much time together as they can, running and playing on the beach -- and proving that inside every naughty dog there's a good dog waiting to come, sit and stay.
