How could you resist these little balls of fur?

These cats are not from the Himalayan Mountains, but rather a breed developed with the coloring of a Siamese and the hair of a Persian. Once bred, they had the same coloring and hair as the Himalayan goats, hence the name.

    Health Problems

    • Himalayans have little health problems.

    • Get a 10 to 12 week old kitten and check its ears and eyes. A scruffy kitten could mean that it's unhealthy.

Note: Himalayans have very long hair, which can be a problem when cleaning your house. Be sure to comb your cat to get the tangles out and to keep the coat healthy.

Himalayans are quiet loving cats. They make great pets.
