    • To speed set your gelatin, completely dissolve 4 ounce package of gelatin in 3/4 cup boiling water. Add ice cubes to 1/2 cup water until the water reaches the 1-1/4 cup mark. Pour the icy water into the bowl of hot gelatin and stir until the mixture starts to thicken, about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove the unmelted ice cubes and chill the gelatin in the refrigerator for approximately 1/2 hour.

    • Another quick way to prepare gelatin is to pour 4 ounces of gelatin and 1 cup boiling water into a blender. Cover and blend at low speed for 30 seconds or until the mixture is dissolved. Add a cup of ice cubes and water and stir until the ice is slightly melted and then blend on high for about 30 seconds. Pour into serving cup of your choice and let it chill in the refrigerator for approximately 15 minutes. This method will leave your gelatin with a nice frothy top.
